To achieve the black color we can use all kinds of diamond colors and all types of clarity. The process is long, since the diamond starts with a blue color and becomes darker and darker all the way to the black. The important point to remember when you select the diamonds for black is not use diamonds with white windows (defect) on the surface. The white defect is air space and will not reflect any color. The final result will have a white spot on the black diamond.
